On April 10, Zhang Mao, minister of SAIC met with the visiting deputy director general of WIPO, Ms. Wang Binying.
Zhang Mao indicated that the constantly deepened reforms on commercial system effectively incented market vitality and promoted a large increase on trademark applications, which showed a strong potentiality for trademark and brand’s development in China.
Wang Binying, on behalf of the director general of WIPO, Mr. Francis Gurry, expressed her appreciations on the achievements for reforms on commercial system, and congratulated on last year’s breakthrough of 2 million trademark applications for China. Both sides also exchanged opinions on the revision of MOU, human resources cooperation, Madrid international trademark registration system promotion, trademark database exchange and other common concerns.
